Tetrachore
Multivariate Analysis Powered by 3D Visualization
Tetrachore lies at the conjunction of three dimensions:
Statistical
Multivariate data analysis and machine learning algorithms
Geometric
Exploration of hypersolids: polytopes, hyperspheres, hypertori, etc.
Harmonic
An elegant and intuitive 3D engine to visualize the latent bonds and structures in your data.
Tetrachoric
Tetrachore is derived from the adjective "tetrachoric", used to describe a mathematical series involved in the computation of the tetrachoric correlation. This correlation reveals the intensity of the underlying relationship between two discrete and ordinal variables. By extension, it evokes those methods that reveal the hidden meaning behind your datasets.
Four Spaces
Tetrachore obviously comes from Greek and literally means "four spaces". Here, "Tetra" is used as an evocation of the 4th dimension — the first "hyperdimensional" threshold that plays a central role in the way figures are projected in the app. And "chore" symbolizes the elementary building block of these structures: the three-dimensional cell (space). A Tetrachore can also be interpreted as a four-dimensional (non-convex) object made up of four cells. The app even features a personal representation of a Tetrachore derived from the Tesseract.
Tetrachord
Finally, Tetrachore is a phonetic nod to the tetrachord — a set of four melodic notes spanning a perfect fourth.
